    I saw it at the thrift store and love the Darksword Trilogy so I picked it up. It does provide a nice background history and story in the Thimhallan realm but being a person not really looking to role-play the game, it was just okay. I did just find out there is a fourth book in the Darksword Trilogy so looking forward to that. ()/5(1).   In today’s ttrpg milieu (not really the word I want, but it’ll do) the mechanics of the actual Darksword Adventures game are incredibly archaic. I will warn you that the third book of the series has a weird but still very enjoyable tale to tell in the conclusion of this trilogy. There is a fourth book as well, Legacy of the Darksword, that.
